As the sun dips below the horizon, your adventure doesn’t end! We turn on glow-in-the-dark LED lights on each kayak, creating a captivating experience as you paddle back in the dark. The crystal-clear glass-bottom kayaks light up the water beneath, allowing you to see into the depths. These vibrant lights also guide the way back to the boat launch, making for a fun return while you continue to enjoy the beauty of the evening.

Your knowledgeable guide will lead the way as you navigate the calm waters of the Upper Klamath Wildlife Refuge during golden hour. They’ll share paddling tips, point out local wildlife, and ensure a safe and memorable experience from sunset to nightfall.
We’ll provide everything you need for your adventure, including LED-lit kayaks, paddles, life jackets, whistles, and water access permits. We recommend bringing optional items like bug spray, sunscreen, or a dry bag to enhance your comfort during the tour.

This tour time is 2-3 hours, two on the water. We ask you to allow 3 hours from check-in to check-out to allow time to drive to the boat launch (you drive your own vehicle and follow your guide), for gear up and some safe paddle instructions. Please arrive 30 minutes early and check-in at our Office/Yurt.

We are located within the Fremont-Winema National Forest, approximately 40 minutes south of Crater Lake National Park. Please note, we are not located inside Crater Lake National Park. Double-check your directions and estimated drive time before your trip to ensure a smooth arrival.

Yes, each tour has specific requirements:
Malone Springs & Spring Creek Kayak Tours: Ages 4+, max weight 300 lbs. Children (4-12) should paddle with an adult in a two-person kayak.
Sunset Kayak Tour: Ages 8+, max weight 300 lbs. Children (8-12) should paddle with an adult in a two-person kayak.
Moonlight Kayak Tour: Ages 10+, max weight 300 lbs. All participants paddle in two-person kayaks.
Guests who don’t meet these requirements will not be refunded.
Yes! Our guides will provide instruction and support, and most of our tours are on calm water, making them beginner-friendly.
On most tours, you can choose between single or two-person kayaks. If you’re 13 or older, you may paddle solo. The Moonlight Kayak Tour requires two people per kayak.
